We're looking for an intermediate or senior resource consent planner to join us in a permanent full-time position. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career through hands-on experience spanning a wide range of planning processes, in a region with strong and growing opportunities in land development.

This is primarily an office-based role at our Silverdale office, close to public transport, with hybrid flexibility available.

What you’ll be doing

  • Prepare and process resource consent applications, AEEs, and supporting planning documentation to a high standard.

  • Provide clear and practical planning advice to clients on resource consent matters under the RMA and relevant planning frameworks.

  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.

  • Prepare planning assessments and supporting consent documentation.

  • Conduct pre-application processes, responses to submissions, and participation in hearings or mediation as required.

  • Contribute positively to team culture, internal processes, and the professional reputation of the organisation.

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant NZ qualification in Resource Management Planning, Environmental Management or a related discipline, recognised by NZPI.

  • Experience in RMA consenting (minimum 4 years).

  • Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and maintain a high level of professionalism.

  • Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly.
